Spanish EPCs Certificados de Eficiencia Energeticas (CEEs)

A Certificado de Eficiencia Energetica (CEE) is the Spanish version of the UK Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). It is a legal requirement to have an Energy Performance Certificate / Certificado de Eficiencia Energetica (CEE) for any property that you are selling or renting out to a tenant in Spain. Once carried out a CEE is valid for 10 years unless any renovations or changes are made to the property - in which case a new CEE must be prepared.

A CEE shows how energy efficient a home is, approximate energy costs to run the property and assigns an energy rating to the home on a scale ranging from ‘A’ (most energy efficient) to ‘G’ (least energy efficient).
